They wanted to explore identity and how that interplayed with their AAC systems and support they received.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.talkingmats.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Being-Included.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Being Included<\/a> \u2013 this is a free bolt on designed to be used in forensic setting with the Talking Mats &nbsp;Keeping Safe resource.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.talkingmats.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/AAC-service-Evaluation-script-and-symbols.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">AAC service Evaluation script and symbols<\/span><\/a> \u2013&nbsp;This Talking Mats resource was funded by the Scottish Government Right to Speak initiative to enable AAC users to give feedback on their services.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.talkingmats.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Dementia-CDS-v2.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Dementia Communication Difficulties Scale<\/span><\/a>&nbsp;\u2013 this tool was developed during one of our research projects to help&nbsp;identify the communication difficulties that a person with dementia might be having<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.talkingmats.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/SUST-2017.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">SUST 2017<\/span><\/a>&nbsp;(Stirling Understanding Screening Tool) \u2013 this tool was developed in order to provide a quick way to gauge the comprehension level of adults with a communication difficulty.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.talkingmats.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/EFFC-2016.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">EFFC 2016<\/span><\/a>&nbsp;(Effectiveness Framework of Functional Communication) \u2013 this is a simple but helpful tool to measure the effectiveness of an interaction between 2 people. It\u2019s particularly helpful if a video recording has been made of the interaction.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.talkingmats.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/resolution-pics.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Resolution pics<\/span><\/a>&nbsp; Do you want to think about your New Year\u2019s resolutions? A fun way to use Talking Mats&nbsp; with friends and family<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.talkingmats.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/TM-symbols-prompts-for-MCQ.pdf\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">TM Symbols and prompt for MCQ<\/span><\/a> Use Talking Mats to support completing a mystery customer questionnaire to feedback on your experience in shops or services as part of the National Communication Access project<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/Embedding-TM-in-practice.doc\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Embedding TM in practice&nbsp;template<\/span><\/a>&nbsp;\u2013 this can be use to plan and record who you use Talking Mats with.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/TMreflectiontemplate.doc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Talking Mats reflection template<\/span><\/a>&nbsp;\u2013 this can be used to reflect on how the Talking Mats session went. There are lots of videos of people with communication disability reflecting on their experiences :what works well and what does not . It was funded by NHS education&nbsp;Scotland and Talking Mats helped facilitate and produce the resource.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.talkingmats.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/Ida-Mundt-unerpinning-theories.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Theories that underpin the principles of the Talking Mats tool<\/a>, by Ida Mundt<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Talking Mats and Occupational Therapy Resources<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/TMOT-personalised-care.pdf\">TMOT personalised care<\/a>&nbsp;
